The ATA And Home Phone Plus From Phone.com Is Easy To Set Up

I got my new Phone.com ATA in the mail and took the time to set it up today.  Setting it up was an extreme overstatement.  The only thing I did was plug it in and it’s already to go.  I had a dial tone in seconds.  It was truly easier then I ever thought it would be.

I’m doing this all for my in-laws, my wife’s father is now the perfect target for scam artists who call almost daily.  For the last year I’ve been asked to call and cancel or handle some form or another of something he was scammed into getting or doing.  I’m hoping Phone.com will be my savior.  For under $20/month on the Home Phone Plus plan my in-laws will have phone service that they’re now paying over $50 for.  I’m setting up a white list of their friends/family and others that we’ll allow to call them and then just force all other callers to go to voicemail.  I’m expecting this to solve their problem of con men calling all the time.

I’ll let you know how this goes because I think it has the ability to help a lot of folks.  If you know anybody else who might be interested I’m going to post a step by step of how to get this all set up on the Phone.com blog as soon as it’s all working perfectly.

Just to be transparent Phone.com is a client of mine.
